This regulated qualification is designed for learners who have a responsibility to conduct risk assessments at low risk premises. It covers the principles of risk assessment, the relationship between hazard and risk and requires learners put into practice the knowledge learned on the course by undertaking a risk assessment, therefore laying a foundation for further development as a risk assessor.
Who Should Attend
Designed for anyone with a responsibility to conduct risk assessments, such as:
team leaders, supervisors, site managers and managers
health and safety specialists
personnel contributing to the risk assessment process
What Will You Learn
Conduct risk assessments (with the necessary technical knowledge in relation to the activities/ environments/issues)
Organise and implement a risk assessment programme
Participate in the identification of specific training needs for the activities being assessed
Assist employers in meeting legal requirements and promote improved standards of health and safety within their organisation
This qualification is assessed in two parts:
Part 1: Multiple choice examination
30 questions lasting 1 hour. Learners must achieve 20/30 in order to pass.
Part 2: Practical Assessment
Learners are expected to undertake a risk assessment, which will be internally assessed by the centre and externally moderated by HABC.
Delegates successfully completing the course, including examination, will be awarded an HABC registered Certificate + Certification Card from Quality Academy
